Not actually. But today I went on my first 'cover shoot' when Kiplinger shot their September cover. It was a blast. They flew in the photographer, the photographer's assistant, a wardrobe stylist and a hair and makeup stylist. [big time] I was really just there to observe and hang out with the photo editor to see how these shoots run. And while I were there I picked up odd jobs like getting water for people, making sure there were no kayaks in the background of the photos, steaming these $300 dress shirts and guarding the $400 Chloe flats. But I got to get out of the city and go to Virginia's Great Falls Park - b e a utiful! The shoot lasted over 7 hours and it was so hot that I was dripping sweat just standing by the river where we were shooting. But I loved seeing how perfect everything has to be for a magazine cover photo and seeing the process first hand.
Tomorrow I will head back to my business attire and my cubicle for some good old fashioned reporting. I am writing a piece for the web and doing a couple of other things too. I keep very busy at work, but I have a really good time.

I'm so jealous! It's just like you are hanging out on the set of ANTM (Meg and I saw our favorite drunk model, Brittney, did we tell you that!?)
My favorite of your tasks would be "making sure there were no kayaks in the background of the photos." It sounds like you would make a great PA!
You are really keeping up with blogging. I like it. I'm a little behind.
picturing you steaming a dress makes me giggle. woohooo candice!
i also enjoyed your last post - i felt similarly at arlington, and that was before all the recent military messes. i can't wait to hear about your experiences on the fourth!
